Bay Leaves Whole has a distinctively strong, aromatic, spicy flavour and a pleasant, slightly minty menthol aroma. Complements casseroles, stews, soups, marinades, sauces, stock and gravies. To release the flavour tear or break some Bay Leaves before adding to your cooking. Before serving, remove the leaves. The strength and flavour of Bay Leaves increases with cooking time. Add extra flavour to rice, pasta, carrots, beets and potatoes. Add one or two Bay Leaves when simmering pot roasts, stews and soups.
